Are you ready to feel the thunder?! The Monster Truck Nitro Tour presented by BURNCO is thundering into SMS Equipment Stadium at Shell Place with two shows in September 2023!

The Monster Truck Nitro Tour presented by BURNCO brings in car crushing giants to compete in racing, wheelie contests, and amazing freestyle action. This exciting event will also include freestyle motocross featuring thrilling displays of aerial acrobatics! Plus don't miss your chance to meet the drivers and see the trucks up close at the pre-event Pit Party.

Ticket Prices

General Admission:

  • Child (ages 3-12): $30 (including taxes & fees)
  • Youth/Adult (ages 13+): $45 (including taxes & fees)
  • Kids 2 and under receive free admission and will not be assigned a seat (must sit with a parent or guardian who holds a ticket)

VIP Ticket: Includes general admission event ticket, Pit Party Pass & commemorative badge:

  • Child (ages 3-12): $45 (including taxes & fees)
  • Youth/Adult (ages 13+): $55 (including taxes & fees)

Tickets increase by $5 on event day, so purchase early! 

Pit Party Passes - Available in person at the Shell Place Box Office on event day:

Know Before You Go:

We are getting ready to welcome you to the Monster Truck Nitro Tour presented by BURNCO! Please note the following information to ensure you have the best possible experience:

  • VIP/Pit Party Passes
    • VIP/Pit Party Passes will be available for pick up on the day of the event at the stadium entrances. For advance pick up, the Shell Place Box Office will be open Noon – 10:00pm on Friday, September 8 and 9:00am – 5:00pm on Saturday, September 9.
  • What to Bring for Event Entry
    • If you have purchased tickets online, in advance of the show please download your tickets from email to your phone and save them to an App on your phone such as Apple Wallet, Google Wallet or Samsung Wallet. For printed tickets, please bring your printed ticket with you.
  • Event Entrances
    • VIP Entrance is available through the Legacy Dodge Field entry gates. General Admission Entrance is available through the SMS Equipment Stadium entry gates. Accessible Entrances are available for both VIP and General Admission. VIP Suite Entrance is available through the East Entrance of Shell Place.
  • Parking
    • There is no fee for parking at this event. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Food & Beverage
    • No outside food or beverage will be permitted in the venue. Beverage bars and food concessions are located on the main concourse, south concourse and on field level.
  • Bag Checks
    • All guests will be subject to a bag check. The following items will be strictly prohibited upon entry:
      • Outside food or beverage
      • Cameras, video cameras and recording devices
      • Strollers
      • Air horns, megaphones, whistles, laser pointers
      • Weapons, explosives or firearms of any kind
      • Alcoholic beverages, drugs or any other illegal substances
      • Cans or bottles
      • Pets - with the exception of service animals
      • Lawn Chairs
      • Umbrellas
      • Balloons/Beach Balls
      • Drones
      • Coolers
      • Any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate by security
  • Accessibility
    • Shell Place supports barrier-free access for guests with mobility concerns. The facility has expanded accessible parking space, which is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible Entrances are available at both General Admission and VIP/Pit Party entrances. The stadiums at Shell Place have limited barrier-free seating available for mobility challenged guests. To purchase accessible seating please contact the Shell Place Box Office at 780-793-6969. Shell Place does not rent or supply wheelchairs
  • Merchandise
    • Monster Truck Rides and branded merchandise will be available – please note these items are available by cash only.
    • Show merchandise will be available for purchase at three merchandise locations.
  • Noise Level
    • This event will be loud.
    • Noise protection is highly recommended for youth and small children.
  • Event Exit and Re-entry
    • Guests who wish to exit must see a gate attendant to scan out of the event.
    • Upon re-entry guests must go to the back of the line and are subject to a security check.
    • Please keep your ticket on you at all times.
  • Safety and Security
    • Guest safety is our first priority.
    • Medical staff will be on site at the First Aid tent.
    • Security will be on site - do not hesitate to report any sightings of conflict or danger to personnel.
    • While it's important to have fun, we ask that you respect staff members and other guests. Monitor your alcohol consumption and please don't drink and drive.
  • 50/50 Results
    • The winning 50/50 number will be posted on the United Way Fort McMurray and Wood Buffalo Facebook Page.
